Made-to-Measure Blinds in Great Broughton

At the foot of the Cleveland Hills, Great Broughton is a village of stone cottages, farmhouses and larger rural homes. Properties like these often combine character windows with modern extensions, and with rural outlooks, what you need for privacy and light can vary from room to room. We'll help you think it through window by window.

We cover Great Broughton and nearby villages including Little Broughton, Kirkby, Ingleby Greenhow and Stokesley, and on towards Great Ayton.

Blinds and shutters for homes in Great Broughton

Village homes like those in Great Broughton often have thick walls, small cottage windows at the front and larger glazing at the back, where an extension or garden room looks out over the fields. Natural materials tend to suit these homes well. Wooden blinds bring warmth to a cottage room and let you angle the slats to soften the light, while shutters suit farmhouse-style rooms and help a room feel snug on cold nights.

Popular choices in Great Broughton

In the countryside, nights are much darker than in town, but summer mornings arrive early, so you may want a bedroom blind that blocks the light properly. A blackout roller or a Roman blind with a blackout lining, fitted to cover the window fully, does this well. Where the view is the main event, a top-down, bottom-up pleated blind lets you keep the lower part of the window covered and the hills in sight. For larger rear glazing or roof windows that are hard to reach, Somfy motorisation means you can open and close blinds with a remote, a timer or the Somfy TaHoma app.
